Add to skillet and stir until incorporated. Add onions, mushrooms, potatoes, garlic, thyme. Heat until boiling and pour into your prepared roasting pan. In broiler pan, without the rack, arrange steak. Add water to pan and stir, scraping brown bits from bottom of pan.
